THE BIG RUN or BAY TO BREAKERS 2001

This year over 70 000 people run the "Bay to Breakers". For the 90th time in the history of San Francisco! The marathon is 7.5 miles (12Km) from the Bay Bridge to the Breakers on the Pacific Ocean at the end of Golden Gate Park. One do not see it well but there are jogging nuts till the horizon. And somewhere there we also try to run out of breath. We are proud to have contributed to the crowd!

And as you see we also have fun! The nutty behaviour is obligatory.

Well, this time we will not win the "honourable nut" prize. They openly claimed that Jesus helps them. They should have been disqualified! That is cheating!

ALL IS WELL, WHEN IT ENDS WELL! YEEESSSSSS! WE MADE IT!

Aren't we really cool? Look how fresh and relaxed we look, we could start the run all over again with hardly a sweat. (fortunately the sticks that keep us up are not visible in the picture...)

Well, even if we did not win the BMW, we are happy nevertheless. We were close, the winner run the 7.5 miles in 34 minutes. We run it in 1 hour and 17 minutes. He can run more than twice as fast as us. But we can program at the very least ten time faster than him. After all it will be easier for us to catch up.
